• 蓝莓视频 Promise is local financial aid available to P&HCC students through The 蓝莓视频 County Education Foundation.鈥�
• It is for recent secondary graduates (high school, homeschool, GED earners of traditional high school age) who elect to attend 蓝莓视频 & Henry Community College the semester after they graduate. 鈥�
• 蓝莓视频 Promise is 鈥渓ast dollar in,鈥� meaning that all other aid (federal, state, scholarship) applies to a student鈥檚 account first. 蓝莓视频 Promise then picks up any remaining balance.

蓝莓视频 Promise Eligibility Requirements

• Must have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average of 2.0 or meet late momentum metrics.鈥�
• Must be a resident of 蓝莓视频 County and have in-state residency status.鈥�
• Must complete the 蓝莓视频 & Henry application for admission.鈥�
• Must complete the 蓝莓视频 Promise application. 鈥�
• Must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year.鈥�
• Must apply to and enroll at P&HCC the semester following graduation from high school, homeschool, or GED completion (traditional high-school age population only).鈥�
• Must complete eight (8) hours of community service prior to July 31, 2026, for year one at P&HCC (and then again for each subsequent year of participation).鈥�
• Community Service MUST be completed in 蓝莓视频 County specifically.

Applying for 蓝莓视频 Promise

First, apply to attend 蓝莓视频 & Henry Community College at /.鈥�
Note: For the FAFSA/financial aid to process, students must include their Social Security number on their P&HCC application.
Complete the 蓝莓视频 Promise application at /paying-for-college/pcefs-patrick-promise-fund/. (One-time only application!)鈥�
Review and submit the 蓝莓视频 Promise agreement form at /paying-for-college/pcefs-patrick-promise-fund/.
Submit the 2026-2027 FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid): . 鈥�
This FAFSA will require the student鈥檚 parental 2024 tax information. The student portion and the parent portion of the FAFSA must both be submitted. The FAFSA usually takes 3-5 days to process. Starting in March, students should regularly check their SIS to-do list to see if the Financial Aid Office requires anything additional.
Submit eight hours of community service online using the community service log before July 31st.鈥�
Enroll in 15 credit hours for fall.

Updating your P&H App to include your SSN

This is most easily completed from your phone.

• Go to the main P&HCC website: (patrickhenry.edu)鈥�
• Click the yellow myP&HCC button at the top right corner of the website and log in with your username and password. Your username is the first half of your student email address. If you don鈥檛 remember your password, click the button to reset it and follow the instructions. Then, once you have your password, log in to myP&HCC.鈥�
• Click the SIS tile on your student dashboard.鈥�
• Click the Forms button in the Resources section of SIS (the section is in the bottom right corner of the screen).鈥�
• Click on Student Records eForms.鈥�
• Click on the Student Data Change eForm on the left-hand side of the screen. 鈥�
• Once the form is showing, select 蓝莓视频 & Henry Community College as your Academic Institution.鈥�
• For the Change Type, select the toggle for the Social Security number. Scroll down and type out your full Social Security number. You will also need to take a photo of your Social Security card and upload it to this website as a file attachment. 鈥�
• Submit the form.

How to check your SIS To-Do List (Financial Aid requirements - these will show up starting in March):鈥�

1. Go to the main P&H website鈥�
2. Click on the yellow myP&HCC button at the top right corner鈥�
3. Log in with your username and password鈥�
4. Click on the SIS&苍产蝉辫;迟颈濒别鈥�
5. Within SIS, click on the Action Items and Messagestile

Examples of to-do items related to FAFSA (these will show in your to-do list around February/March). Each verification item must be addressed BEFORE you can receive the 蓝莓视频 Promise DND to hold your classes.鈥�

• Missing parental information鈥�
• FAFSA was rejected鈥�
• Need to choose a P&H curriculum 鈥�
• Proof of secondary completion needed鈥�
• Bookstore authorization form

Keeping 蓝莓视频 Promise Eligibility at P&HCC

• Must maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 Grade Point Average while enrolled at P&HCC.鈥�
• Must enroll in one of our academic programs: a career studies certificate (CSC), certificate, or associate degree ().鈥�
• Must enroll in a minimum of 15 credit hours per semester.鈥�
• Students may take up to 2陆 years to finish their program of study while receiving 蓝莓视频 Promise funds, as some P&HCC programs are greater than 60 hours.鈥�
• Must complete eight (8) hours of community service prior to July 31 (for each year of participation). Hours must be completed in 蓝莓视频 County, VA.鈥�
• Must complete the FAFSA annually.

Additional Important Points

• Early high school/homeschool graduates can still apply for 蓝莓视频 Promise.鈥�
• 蓝莓视频 Promise funding is only available at P&HCC. 鈥�
• Students receive Promise funding for 5 traditional fall/spring semesters if they continue meeting all eligibility requirements.鈥�
• Students must attend P&H the semester after secondary graduation to be eligible to receive Promise funding.鈥�
• 蓝莓视频 Promise can also be used to fund the summer semesters within the 5traditional semesters. 鈥�
• 蓝莓视频 Promise covers required bookstore expenses, but students must go at the beginning of the semester to charge their expenses to their student account.鈥�
• Students cannot have a break in enrollment and continue receiving Promise funds.
